Pastoring Should Not Be a Source of Income But a Vocation - Omokri

Reno Omokri is an Elite as well as Author. Do you agree to what he said that pastoring should be a vocation and not a full time job?

Nobody wins an arguement because naturally and individually , we have different perception about an issue.

"It‘s good for a pastor to have a business or job so he can be independent of his congregation. If a pastor totally depends on his congregation, he finds it hard to preach sermons that convict them of sin. He develops the fear of his congregation rather than his God." Reno said in one of his tweets.

"Jesus was a carpenter. Peter a fisherman. Paul a tentmaker. The ONLY disciple that did not have a job or business was Judas, and look how the love of money led him astray. Pastoring should not be your source of income. It should be a vocation, not a job or business". He added .

"Many of the richest people on earth don’t even believe in God. They believe in work. And they are now billionaires. Obviously, they are fools for not believing in God. But their foolishness teaches us something. Financial gain is an outcome of work, not of religion". He concluded
