Lagos State Leadership Fails Miserably when it Comes to Addressing Housing Issues - Jimi Agbaje

Jimi Agbaje

Comparing the administration of the Former Governor of Lagos state, Alhaji Lateef Jakande with the administration of the Governors who ruled in the fourth republic, Jimi Agbaje said the Leadership of the State has failed to address housing issues in the state.

The Governorship Candidate of the People's Democratic Party PDP said, "35 years ago, Alhaji Lateef Jakande built over 20,000 affordable homes for Lagosians in 4 years of being in office from 1979-1983. He built an average of 400 homes per month, despite being a journalist by training and no prior experience of large scale construction."

"Today, we have a much larger economy, and more advanced building technology, yet Lagos' leadership has failed miserable when it comes to addressing our housing issues."

"What we need is the right kind of leadership. One that is not for sale but beholding to the people only - not vested interests." "I'm confident that together we can solve this issue. If Baba Jakande did it so selflessly, we can also do it." He concluded.
