NEW OYO IS INEVITABLE - ALAO-AKALA
Former governor of Oyo State and governorship candidate of the Action
Democratic Party (ADP), Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, has assured the people and residents of the state that when he is eventually elected as the governor of the state during this year's election, the state will again, breath a new life.
The former governor said this in a new year message issued through a press
statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, the state capital, on Tuesday.
Alao-Akala said that the mission of ADP is to rescue the state from its present
state of despondency, and enthrone people's government when elected. He said,
"I am well-prepared and determined to bring back a new Oyo State in the new
year".
According to the statement, "just as we are used to usher in a new year after the
completion of a 12-month calendar year, I wish the people of Oyo State a happy
new year".
"New year is always synonymous with fresh ideas, reflection on one's past and a
resolve to do more exploits with renewed vigour. I am wishing the people of Oyo
State a new political experience when the experienced administrator with the
genuine love for the masses returns to power".
