A former governor of Ekiti State, Peter Fayose on Tuesday evening alleged that the Federal Government of Nigeria was planning to jam telecoms networks from Saturday morning till Sunday evening.
Fayose who disclosed this in one of his tweets said that the equipment to make it possible for the Federal Government to jam telecoms networks has been imported from Israel. Saying that the equipment was tested last week Thursday and Friday.
The tweet reads, "I am aware of plot by the FG to jam telecoms networks from 5am on Saturday till 5pm on Sunday, thus making it impossible for use of internet and phone calls during the elections. Equipment imported from Israel for this sinister plot was tested last week Thursday and Friday".
