Nigeria former vice president Atiku Abubakar on Saturday condemned the arrest of Yemi Sowore on an allegation of treason.
The former president in a series of tweets says the arrest of the Sahara Reporters Publisher, Yemi Sowore was a kidnapping in the guise, calling on the country's judiciary to intervene.
Yemi Sowore had earlier on Saturday tweeted on organising a revolution in the country as a result of what he called insecurity, picking August 5 for the exercise.
Atiku Abubakar says, "Freedom of speech is not only constitutionally guaranteed, it is the substructure of our democracy.
