The Chancellor of Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government and the President of Ile-Ife Royal Brothers Club, His Royal Eminence, Maye (Dr.) Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11 on the success of the just concluded annual Olojo Festival describing him as a cultural ambassador
Dr Adedoyin was speaking last week during an interview with the press men.

He praised the efforts of the Ooni at making Olojo festival to become a world renowned festival adding that at the rate the popularity of the Olojo festival is growing; Ile-Ife will soon become another Jerusalem that many will be visiting on pilgrimage noting that If people from different parts of the world can be going on pilgrimage to Israel and Saudi Arabia, what prevents the world from coming to Ile-Ife since the ancient city also has a lot of religious and historical potentials.

He advised other Yoruba traditional rulers to also borrow a leaf from the Ooni by promoting different festivals that will sell Yoruba cultural values to the whole world.

The President of Ile-Ife Royal Brothers Club, however advised the Ooni to distance himself from sycophants and people he termed as ‘the Mari Majes’ who will say anything and give wrong advice as long as it serves their personal selfish interests."They have confused you enough, Myself and the late Ooni used to call them the "MARI MAJES" he stated.

The Maye of Yorubaland who donated a million naira towards the success of this year’s Olojo festival disclosed his plan to establish a business worth 100million naira for Ife youths in the name of Ile-Ife. According to him, he will manage it with his Midas touch till the business stabilizes and hand it over to the Ifes as a give back to the society.

He also declared his intention to grant scholarships to Ife indigenes who are seeking admission to study any of the available  programmes at Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, The Polytechnic, Ife, Oduduwa Polytechnic, Lagos, Unique Citizens (University) College, Ghana , Our Saviors University of America, Wilmington, DE  among others as the cost to him is nothing.
