Shina Peller breaks silence as he regains freedom from detention
The lawmaker, Honorable Shina Peller of the Federal House of Representatives has on Tuesday broken silence after gaining freedom from detention.
The Lawmaker was detained by the Lagos State Police Command on allegation that he invaded a police station with 50 thugs.
According to the spokesperson of the state police command, Bala Elkana, the lawmaker had ignored several warnings about the traffic gridlock his Quilox night club causes in Victoria Island where it is situated.
Three cars belonging to customers of the club were towed by authorities due to the way they were parked by the roadside during his club's annual 36 hours non-stop party.
According to Shina Peller's press secretary, Kola Popoola, the lawmaker was arrested when he went to Maroko police station to bail the vehicles.
Finally regaining his freedom, Shina Peller took to social media to appreciate all those who supported him through it all.
He wrote:
"Hello my people, I want to thank everyone for the outpour of love and support over the events that occurred yesterday. I am fine and in good spirits. Currently heading to iseyin to spend xmas with my constituents. All issues are being addressed at the appropriate level and I will release a formal statement in due course.."
