Kellie Chauvin, wife to the former Minneapolis police officer that killed George Floyd has filled for divorce and change of last name.
On May 28th, kellie separated from her husband before he was charged with murder and manslaughter for the death of George Floyd.
She wants their properties too be divided with “no expectations of spousal responsibilities from the husband”, according to her.
Some people were of the opinions that Kellie Chauvin probably filing for divorce to shield the properties which might be in position of George Floyd's family.
Derek Chauvin, former Minneapolis police officer killed George Floyd on 25th May, 2020 and the killing has led to worldwide protest and imposition of curfew in some states in the US.
