SARS Not Responsible for the Attack, And the Victim not Shot Dead - Festus Keyamo

 

Alleged Ughelli SARS Attack Victim Receiving Treatment

The Minister of State, Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo on Sunday said the men of SpecialAnti-RobberySquad SARS were not involved in the attack on a youth in Ughelli, Delta State where rumours carried it that the victim was shot dead.

Festus Keyamo who said he spoke  with both the Commissioner of Police, Delta State and the Area Commander in Ughelli where the unfortunate incident involving a young man & the Police took place yesterday, added that the victimwas alive and responding to treatments.

Keyamo said that the victim was not shot by the police as been reported.The victim became unconscious when he attempted to escape by jumping from the police vehicle on the move.

The Minister said the outfit involved in this case is called Operation Delta Safe and not SARS.
