Prince Phillip  who his wife Queen Elizabeth ll always referred to has 'her strength has died today at the age of 99.

The death of the Duke of Edinburgh was announced by Buckingham Palace, which said he passed away peacefully.

Britain is mourning the death of Prince Philip, with the BBC interrupting scheduled programming to broadcast the national anthem, “God Save the Queen.”

The flag at Buckingham Palace was lowered to half-staff.
