Ex-NIMASA Boss, Calistus Obi, Bags 42 Years, Gets Option of N252 million as Fine for N136m Fraud
Nigeria's Economy and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday says the country's Federal High Court in Lagos has jailed Calistu Obi alongside who the court says guilty of N136 Million fraud.
Also sentenced by Justice Olatoregun of Fed High Court Lagos, was Alu Dismas. They were found guilty on counts 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 & 8 and sentenced to 7years on each count. They had pleaded not guilty to 8 counts brought against them by the EFCC on April 12, 2016.
The judge gave them an "option of fine" of N42 million on each count and imposed a N10 million fine on Global Sea Investment & Grand Pact Limited involved in the alleged fraud.
The EFCC called 8 witnesses & tendered several documents, admitted in evidence against them.
