AD SCIENTIFIC RANKING: ODUDUWA UNIVERSITY EMERGES 6TH BEST PRIVATE UNIVERSITY, 37TH OVERALL IN NIGERIA

One of the fastest growing private Universities in the country, Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu has added another feather to its cap as it emerged the 6th best private university in Nigeria and the 37th overall best university among all the federal, state and private citadels of higher learning in the country for the year 2022.

In a publication by the AD Scientific, a notable ranking system of World Universities, Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu also holds the 221st position in Africa and 5413th position among all the world universities for the year. (https://www.adscientificindex.com/university-ranking/?country_code=ng)

The ranking was based on academic scholarship based on the number, quality and impact of academic publications of scientists all over the world

In the list of the best Nigerian 50 universities and topmost scientists bringing such great honour to those universities released, University of Ibadan (Oye Gureje), University of Nigeria, Nsukka (Obinna E Onwujekwe) and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (Shafiu Mohammed) emerged the top 3 universities while Lagos State University, Ojo (Adewuya Abiodun) emerged the best state university and overall 5th best in Nigeria.

Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu (Prof. Benjamin Aribisala) emerged as number 37 on the list. Prof. Benjamin Aribisala is the current vice chancellor of Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu.

Named after the progenitor of the Yoruba race, Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu received its provisional licence to operate as a private University on 3rd November, 2009.

The University which occupies about 100 hectares of land is strategically located on Ife – Ibadan express road, and it can be easily accessed from al the nearby States of Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Edo and Lagos.

The university boasts of 6 colleges; College of Management and Social Sciences, Ramon Adedoyin College of Natural & Applied Sciences, Ramon Adedoyin College of Engineering and Technology, Oba Okunade Sijuwade College of Environmental Design and Management, College of Communication and Media Studies and the Postgraduate College.

All the institution’s programmes both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level are approved and accredited by the national Universities Commission
