ADEDOYIN PETITIONS FCID OVER CYBERBULYING, DEFAMATION, OTHERS

The renowned educationist, Dr Abdulrahaman Adegoke Adedoyin has petitioned the Inspector General of Police over criminal defamation, false alarm, incitement, false publication, cyber stalking/bullying, unlawful interference with police investigations and in judicial proceedings, criminal threat and intimidation, against a group of bloggers, online media practitioners and social media influencers.

The petition which was filed on behalf of Adedoyin by the Guardian Law & Abewela Royal Chambers of Muhammed Adeleke and Co. called on the Nigerian Police “to take up the gauntlet and PREVENT continuing Breach of Law and Order by Oriyomi Hamzat; Baba Gbade Imo; Woibile (WoTv) and; IJKFMB Music Yard Ireland FMB". 

The petition calls on the law enforcement agents to "hold these group of bloggers and online media practitioners ACCOUNTABLE for the occasioned Breach of The Laws so as to ensure Maintenance of Peace and Tranquility in the land.”

According to the petition signed by Ahmed A. Aderoju Esq, Hamzat Oriyomi; Baba Gbade Imo; Wo ibile (WoTv); and IJKFMB Music Yard Ireland FMB, have been criminally defaming, threatening, cyber stalking/cyber bullying their client, Rahaman Adedoyin over the circumstances surrounding the death of a lodger, Late Timothy Adegoke, in his hotels {Hilton Hotel (Honours)} in Ile Ife, Osun State on 6th November, 2021.

These four bloggers/Social media influencers made have been indiscriminately making unfounded allegations of human killing and body dismemberment with fake Autopsy Reports, photoshopped CCTV footages against Dr Adedoyin through online outreaches like YouTube: Mr. Oriyomi Hamzat YouTube, Goggle Account: Oriyomi Hamzat Rescue Mission; WoTV; Teetube; Plus Media TV; Kilarigbo, Facebook: OriyomiHamzat.com; oriyomihamzatrescuemissionfoundation; and other online outlets like: Oriyomi Hamzat 94.9fm; Agidigbo FM Radio; 32 FM 949 Ibadan; Oriyomi Hamzat TV, Rave FM 91.7 among others.

It could be recalled that, on an occasion Oriyomi Hamzat fabricated news report that the body of late Timothty had been cut into pieces and his neck sliced open. The Police found that no part of the late Timothty was missing.

Oriyomi Hamzat said the internal organs had been removed. Alas! The autopsy revealed otherwise. Being dissatisfied, he claimed he saw a CCTV footage of the hilton hotel, it was discovered that it was the picture of an hotel in USA that was photoshopped with pictures of heaters along the corridor with snow seen outside the premises of the hotel.

It is a matter of great concern that, in addition, Oriyomi Hamzat has made a lot of spurious imputation against the police, the political authorities, the prosecuting counsels and even the judiciary in his desperate attempts at perverting the cause of justice and engender public incitement.
